MAP SYMBOLS
 |
A symbol is placed on the map for each school in a district with students
that were tested for the selected grade/subject. The symbols are color-coded
according to the percentage of students whose test results qualified them
as “Advanced” or “Proficient” in the given subject. |
| |
 |
The map symbols also denote the change from 2006 in the percentage of students
who were either "proficient" or "advanced" by using "+" and "-" symbols. If the change
was between 5 and 10 percentage points, a smaller "+" or "-" is put inside the icon. Greater
than 10 percentage point changes are denoted by larger symbols. |
| |
|
If there were fifteen or fewer students in the class the scores are not
reported to the public. Those scores are symbolized by a hollow symbol. |
| |
|
When
a school district is selected, links to the twenty closest school
districts are displayed with the purple oval. |
| |
|
A purple line depicts the boundary of the selected school district. |
