The Charter Fund
Charter Fund Scholarships send deserving students to college.
Since it was founded in 1987, The Charter Fund scholarship program has provided more than $2 million in scholarships to almost 2,000 Colorado students with financial need. The scholarship program is funded by Charter Fund members, who include individuals, corporations, and other private foundations in addition to The Piton Foundation.
Charter Fund Scholarship Eligibility Criteria
Are you a Colorado resident? And,
- Are you a high school senior?
- Will you graduate this year?
- Do you work during your summer breaks?
- Have you applied for college?
- Do you need financial assistance to attend college?
If you answered yes to all of these questions, you may be eligible for a Charter Fund scholarship, which is available for your first year of an accredited trade school, two-year, or four-year college.
Final decisions are based on financial need, academic performance and aptitude, recommendations, as well as potential for achievement. Applicants may attend colleges anywhere in the United States but must be residents of Colorado.
This year's application process is now closed. Applications are being reviewed and award decisions will be made in late July by a Grant Selection Committee. The application for 2009 will be available online in January 2009.
